Managing Roles

Within knot roles are used to control access to the features of knot. Roles are assigned one or more permissions. When multiple roles are assigned to a user, the permissions from all roles are combined.

Creating Roles

From the menu select Roles and then New Role, the following form will be presented:

The Name is the name of the role, this is used to identify the role in the system.

The Permissions list is the list of available permissions that can be assigned to the role.

Deleting a Role

Select the menu item for the role to delete, click Delete and confirm the action.

Editing a Role

Editing a role is similar to creating a new role. To edit a role select the Edit option from the role menu.
